Follow the Orange-Striped Road

Whataburger is a Texas icon. Texans love Whataburger like Californians love In-N-Out. This campaign aims to channel their iconic brand into a hyper-local execution to capitalize on the pride Texans hold in this chain.

The core idea revolved around taking Whataburger’s signature orange-and-white stripes, and using them to lead customers to their nearest Whataburger location.

Creating a branded journey

Whata-Crosswalks

Painted orange-and-white crosswalks in high-traffic areas, paired with crossing guards to create functional pathways and draw attention from those in the area.

Whata-Road-Signs

Directional arrows, traffic signs, and yields styled in Whataburger colors to extend the reach past crosswalks

Billboards and Posters

Complement the whata-takeover in a more traditional way. They reinforce the stripe concept and provide directions to the nearest location.

The stripes ultimately lead right up to the restaurant doors
